Design Ideas for Bathrooms
The bathroom is the second most commonly remodeled space in a home, after the kitchen. And of course one often has more than one bathroom, so you can have a lot of fun with different looks. I always advise not to throw the baby out with the bathwater. Look at how whimsical, striking and luxurious this vintage claw foot tub is, with it's new coat of red paint. Even if it doesn't get used very often, every time you look at it, you think about relaxing.
Here is another totally different look for a private soaking spot. By creating an arched niche to place the tub in, a sense of elegant coziness greets the bather.
Above is a picture of one of my favorite decorating ideas for bathrooms: the ultimate luxury, a fireplace! Even if your master bathroom was not fashioned from an extra guest room in the vast pile that you inherited, you can very easily create this look. Most likely, a gas fireplace would be the first choice. Today there are so many models available that require very little clearance and no extra ventilation that it is quite easy to add this delightful element to your bath.
